UPDATE: Immigration Group Says At Least 28 Detained in Key West in Seven Days

The Key West Immigrant Support Network says the actual number likely exceeds 30, with most people detained while working or traveling to work.

KEY WEST, Fla. — Immigration authorities detained at least 28 people in Key West during the past seven days, according to the Key West Immigrant Support Network, which said Sunday that reports it has not been able to independently confirm could push the total above 30.

The organization said most of those detained had work authorization and were taken into custody while working or traveling to work. One person was detained after leaving church, the group said.
