Monroe County Helps Accommodate Parking for Race Boats
The City of Key West received a request Wednesday from Race World Offshore to use Bayview Park for boat parking. The City reached out to other partners to the tenants of the park to explore available options.
Our partners at Monroe County stepped up and made areas of Higgs Beach available to accommodate the additional parking needs. Bayview Park will not be used for the additional boat parking.
We want to thank the county for working with the City and organizers to ensure success for this outstanding event.
They changed it after the fact, then withdrew the request from the county as well. Not sure why, but imagine there was some pushback from residents in the Casa Marina area…
