Planning Commission to Hear Proposal for Rebuild on Flagler
The building burned almost to the ground after catching fire as Hurricane Ian skirted Key West.

The Key West Planning Commission will consider plans Thursday to rebuild a two-story mixed-use building at 3201 Flagler Ave. that was destroyed by fire during Hurricane Ian.
Developers are seeking approval to reconstruct the commercial and residential property while requesting several landscape waivers, including minimum percentage, frontage, perimeter and interior requirements.
The meeting begins at 5 p.m. Sept. 18 at City Hall, 1300 White St., and will also be live-streamed with a Zoom option for public comment. The agenda and development packet are available on the city’s website. For more information, residents may call or email the Planning Department at 305-809-3764.
