Orlando Fights Back Against Pulse Crosswalk Removal
Members of the community thronged to the intersection to color in the blanks left by FDOT with chalk; Orlando ordered to remove 18 other street murals by state.

Orlando community members flocked to the intersection of Esther and South Orange Ave. on Thursday to fill a void left by Florida’s Department of Transportation.
Hundreds of people showed up — colorful street chalk in hand — to fix FDOT’s “mistake.”
In response, FDOT district 4 secretary told the City that they would have to remove 18 other street murals throughout Orlando “to increase pedestrian visibility.”
