Key West Artisan Market Highlights Environmental Stewardship With “Keep Key West Beautiful” Edition
Open-air market at Higgs Beach set for Sunday
The Key West Artisan Market will spotlight environmental stewardship during its “Keep Key West Beautiful” edition on Sunday, March 15, at Indigenous Park at Higgs Beach.
The market will run from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. and feature the local nonprofit Keep Key West Beautiful, an affiliate of the national Keep America Beautiful program that promotes environmental stewardship through community cleanups, recycling programs, education and beautification projects.
Representatives from the organization will be on site to share information about volunteer opportunities, sustainability programs and ways residents and visitors can help preserve the island’s natural environment.
The market also serves as a showcase for Florida Keys artisans and vendors offering handcrafted goods, artwork, jewelry, home décor, clothing and specialty foods. Visitors can browse paintings, ceramics, turned wood pieces and handmade textiles alongside fresh produce, seafood, baked goods and specialty cheeses.
Food vendors will offer a range of options including barbecue, artisan breads and international cuisine influenced by Mediterranean, Caribbean and Latin American flavors. Great Events Catering will provide a full-service bar featuring Bloody Marys and mimosas, while other vendors will offer coffee, teas, juices and desserts.
Keys Yacht Rock Station 93.7 will broadcast live from the event, featuring music and interviews throughout the day. Guests can also meet local authors signing books, watch artists at work and visit the recently remodeled Key West Wildlife Center located at Indigenous Park.
The Artisan Market takes place select Sundays throughout the season and partners with local nonprofits to highlight community organizations while supporting local artists, food producers and small businesses.
Admission and parking are free. Organizers encourage guests to bring reusable shopping bags.
The next market is scheduled for Sunday, March 22, with a Conch Republic–themed edition.
