Key West is preparing to spend $188,130 advancing a staff-generated plan for 17 pickleball courts, a covered hockey rink and artificial turf—without showing how public input shaped it.
It would seem affluent, white pickleball players are more important, unfortunately. This is a poorly thought out idea that needs to be revisited, IMHO.

Please PLEASE make Astro City Park a priority. Every time I drive by I am dismayed by its condition and lack of upkeep. Let's do something for the children who live in Key West and the grandchildren who come down to visit grandparents! Aren't our kids worth the 750,000 to 1.5 million it will take to update the park?
