Leaders of the City of Ft. Lauderdale voted in an emergency meeting to take legal action to try to preserve 11 crosswalks and street art features Wednesday night.

The attorney representing Ft. Lauderdale, Howard DuBosar, has been retained by the City of Key West to represent it during an administrative hearing on Wed., Sept. 3 in Orlando.

But — in a stunning display of a lack of leadership and forethought — because no one on the City Commission seconded Commissioner Sam Kaufman’s call for an emergency meeting at 1600 White St. earlier this week,
