KEY WEST, Fla. — Seven Monroe County food establishments completed state inspections without a single violation during an expanded review in which most licensed operations passed on their first visit.
Seascape Tropical Inn, Simonton Food Court, Tropical Inn and 801 Bourbon Bar / Saloon One in Key West recorded zero violations, along with Dani and Mike’s 102 in Marathon, Yiyis Wine Bar in Key Largo and Bites on the Bay 2 in Islamorada.
Overall, 74 of the 88 first inspections received a disposition of “Inspection Completed — No Further Action” from the Florida Department of Business and Professional Regulation. The seven zero-violation visits are included in those 74 passes.
Fourteen required additional action: 10 warnings, one administrative-complaint recommendation and three emergency-order recommendations associated with temporary closures.
Hurricane Hole on Stock Island was closed Aug. 25 after inspectors documented rodent droppings near a cooler. Tin Cup Chalice and Ocean Grill in Key West were closed the same day after inspectors found live roaches.
Hurricane Hole and Tin Cup Chalice recorded compliant callbacks Aug. 26. Ocean Grill recorded an unsuccessful callback Aug. 26 before recording compliance Aug. 28.

Marker 88 and Ibericos Spanish Tapas also recorded compliant callbacks, bringing the total to five of the 14 follow-up cases. Nine had no compliant callback in the available records through Sept. 10. An absent callback does not establish that violations continued.
The review counts 88 separate license numbers whose first inspections fell within the requested window. Separate licenses at the same address are counted separately. Callbacks are matched to the original license and inspection number so they are not counted as new first visits.
