Monroe County State Attorney Dennis Ward didn’t hold back Wednesday when he appeared live on 104.1 US1 Radio’s Morning Magazine with host Joe Moore, blasting the City of Key West’s muted response to a sweeping grand jury probe — and warning the scandal may not be over.
“The people of Key West deserve to know that meaningful change is being implemented, not just promised,” Ward said. “What we’ve seen so far is a lot of talk and very little action.”
Ward also confirmed that the grand jury is still impaneled and that additional indictments are likely forthcoming.
“This is not a closed chapter. We’re still investigating, and additional indictments are very possible.”
