CLARIFICATION
Robert Spottswood, Jr. serves on the board of the Florida Fish and Wildlife Foundation — a non-profit auxilliary group that supports the Florida Fish and Wildlife Foundation. He is also Gov. Rob DeSantis’ appointee to the South Atlantic Marine Fisheries Council because, you know, developers have a lot to offer when it comes to science-based fisheries management.
His father, Robert Spottswood, Sr., left his term on the FWC in 2023 making room for other developers, builders and car dealers to guide the Sunshine State in matters of sound, science-based fisheries and wildlife science.
That is right about the time that the FWC, under Chairman and South Florida Developer Rodney Barretto, began investigating its most vocal critics over what many believed was an unethical (at best) and illegal (at worst) bear hunt.
