BREAKING NEWS: SAO Releases First Set of Discovery for Chief Building Officer
Dennis Ward’s office brings the receipts and more on Raj Ramsingh
The Monroe County State Attorney’s Office released the first tranche of discovery that led to seven felony indictments of the City of Key West’s Chief Building Officer Raj Ramsingh.
Included in the files are authorizations approving Ramsingh to perform outside work approved by Assistant City Manager Todd Stoughton, as well as records for Ramsingh’s business account which he used to pay the City for permits that he obtained for work to be performed by his own company, Strykker-Avery.
There are also emails, interviews and a list of potential witnesses both in the public and within the city.

Ramsingh, along with his brother, disgraced former City Attorney Ron and former Code Enforcement Director Jim Young were indicted on 13 felony charges earlier this month by a Monroe County Grand Jury.
This is a developing story, and By Ted Lund will be burning the midnight oil to analyze and distill the documents.
