Embattled Key West Chief Building Officer Raj Ramsingh’s pre-determination hearing was postponed. In an email obtained and reviewed By Ted Lund, City Manager Brian Barroso said “the teammate (Ramsingh) would remain on administrative leave until a new hearing could be scheduled.
Ramsingh’s hearing to decide his fate with the City was scheduled for Thursday, May 1 according to a memo obtained and reviewed By Ted Lund. But after objections from Ramsingh’s attorneys, it was postponed to an as yet-to-be-determined date and time.
The memo details City Manager Brian Barroso’s intent to terminate Ramsingh’s for cause, listing specific violations of the City’s conduct code and the level of offenses.
Ramsingh faces seven new felony counts in relation to a joint investigation into corruption at 1300 White Street, including falsified building permits.
