An Editor’s Note
Time to take a breather, but back at it tomorrow
Running off at the keyboard…

I received an email from the owner of 98 Golf Club Drive, saying she didn’t appreciate the address and her name being mentioned.
But the fact is, one of seven permits identified in Raj Ramsingh’s indictment involved that address, of which she is listed as the owner.
Although she didn’t own the townhome then and says investigators haven’t contacted her, that might change.
With any luck, the City of Key West will conduct a serious forensic audit of permits issued and work done by Ramsingh, ranging from 98 Golf Course to the Casa Marina and La Concha hotels. Work may need to be done to remedy any shoddy, not up-to-date work that might have been done.
But hey, what are the chances of that if Ramsingh or retired and indicted Code Enforcement Director Jim Young signed off on them?
I am almost positive that the Bubba Bozo Trio would never cut corners to save a dime and drop it in their pockets.
I stand by my reporting.
As you can imagine, going through and breaking down nearly three gigs of discovery related to the Bubba Bozo Trio possible corruption investigation can take a lot out of you.
After the intensive posts we (I) published yesterday, it was time to take a breather and get some other things done while still digesting the latest drop from the Monroe County SAO.
But never fear. I will be right back at it tomorrow morning, and the flogging — er postings — will continue until the morale improves.
And we’ll see you in your inbox tomorrow.
Lastly, I want to thank those who have been kind enough to support local journalism through paid subscriptions. I couldn’t do this without you, and I dedicate the time to digging… and digging… and digging.
I am humbled.
