Don’t lump City Engineer with the rest of the hoodlums at 1300 White Street
I have been following comments on social media, and just wanted to clarify something.
At this time, their is nothing linking City Engineer David Allen to the rest of the co-conspirators that violated the public trust.
His resignation was covered only because another crucial city department will lay fallow with no director.
Over the years it has been nearly impossible to recruit good employees from the real (outside) world.
By all accounts from people that I have talked to in City Hall as well as citizens that have interacted with him, Allen is a solid, competent person who is good at what he does.
In no way shape or form was that new story meant to associate Allen with the Bubba Bozo Trio (Code Director Jim Young, City Attorney Ron Ramsingh and his brother, Chief Building Officer Raj Ramsingh) and their alleged crimes.
We here at By Ted Lund wish David all the best in his new endeavors and our thoughts and prayers go out to his ailing relative who he is leaving to spend more time with.
As a reminder, all suspects are considered innocent until proven guilty in a court of law by a jury of their peers.
